Hey y’all! My name is Reily McCully. Most of you don’t know a whole lot about me so that is why we came up with the idea of a blog! We discovered that it could be a convenient way for our wonderful customers to find out more about the employees  that assist them in their furniture searching and purchasing.

So a little about me! I was born in Whitefish, MT and lived in northwestern Montana until I was about six. Me and my family travelled to Elkhart and eventually Palestine, Texas where I spent the rest of my childhood. I then moved to Tyler, TX where I began my career in sales at Hall Buick GMC. I spent 3 years learning from some amazing people who taught me the meaning of taking care of the customer before anything else. While beginning adulthood I fell in love with who then was Brooke Darsey. We dated for a little over a year until I proposed in July of 2018 in Glacier National Park, Montana. It took some convincing, but hey! I’m a salesman.

We got married on May 18th of 2019 and began the next chapter of our lives.

After I worked at Hall Buick GMC for about 2 1/2 years we started discussing the possibility of coming to work in the furniture store with herdad, Charley Darsey. After a lot of discussion and prayer we decided to begin shopping for a new home and eventually found the perfect place in Elkhart, TX to start the next stage in our lives together. Me and Brooke have been enjoying getting to know all the loyal customers that have kept Darsey’s Furniture in business for over 135 years! Mr. Darsey has been teaching me the ropes from the products we sell like La-Z-Boy, Ashley, Serta, Beautyrest, Diamond Mattress, Peak Living, Mayo Furniture and Best Home Furnishings to running the trucks on deliveries from Huntsville, TX to Tyler, TX!

In my spare time I enjoy lawn work, fishing, shooting, riding my motorcycle and spending time with my family and friends. Some of my favorite things to do at the store are; selling furniture, driving the truck on deliveries and the major “grunt work” in the store such as assembling furniture or re-arranging furniture.
